A-listings: Celebrity Real Estate on the Market

By Kirsten Niper

Howard Hughes

Summertide ranch, previously owned by Aviator, infamous recluse, and the inspiration behind Leonardo DiCaprio’s performance in The Aviator, Howard Hughes, has just flown onto the market with a pricetag of $19.5 million.

This estate has only traded hands once since the Hughes estate owned it and retains the charm that Hughes fell in love with when he bought the property in the 1950s.

Built in 1934, the log cabin-style home boasts a 2,518-square-foot main house with five bedrooms and two baths. In addition, there is a 1,343-square-foot guesthouse that was added to the property in 1940. If that isn’t enough living space, Summertide sits on 5.5 acres and a walk-down pier makes access to the lake easy.

The Summertide Estate is being sold by Chase International.

Rosie O’Donnell

Comedienne, TV talk show host, and activist Rosie O’Donnell can add another skill to her resume: luxury real estate flipper.

During the summer of 2012, O’Donnell bought the duplex penthouse at 130 West 12th Street for $8 million.
The home, which was designed by Cook + Fox, is a spacious 3,200 square feet and features four bedrooms and three baths. High-end appliances, beautiful light fixtures, a magnificent terrace and a view of the empire state building complete this beautiful home, now listed for $10.9 million.

This property is listed by Douglas Elliman.

Dave Grohl

Live like a rock star!

Dave Grohl, front man for the Foo Fighters, has put his beachfront home in Oxnard, California on the market for a rocking $3.2 million.

This four-bedroom, four-bath home sits on Mandalay Beach and offers panoramic ocean views, including the Channel Islands.

This home is perfect for entertaining, as the set up not only invites you to hang out on the beach, but the inside is wired for home entertainment and the fourth bedroom has been turned into a theater room.

This property is being sold by The Agency.
