A-Listings: Celebrity Real Estate On The Market
Normally, selling multimillion dollar homes is no joking matter, but comedian Rita Rudner begs to differ. Rudner released a YouTube video showcasing her home in Dana Point, Calif., which she listed for $8.974 million.
While Rudner normally saves her comedy skits for the stage, the stand-up star uses the 5,000-square-foot home to not only showcase her humor, but the gorgeous oceanfront views, home theatre, gourmet kitchen and private patio of her beach house.
Joel Schumacher, film director of movies like St. Elmo’s Fire and a trio of Batman movies, has listed his California estate for $7.25 million. The Carpinteria home offers mountain and ocean views and balances a rustic feel with an air of sophistication, earning itself a feature in Architectural Digest.
Throughout his career, Neal McDonough has played an eclectic collection of roles, from the mysterious Dave Williams on ABC’s Desperate Housewives to Captain Laser in the Hollywood Hit Captain America. The actor is now attempting to add home-seller to his resume, as the actor has listed his Los Angeles home for $2.899 million.
The stately, Southern Colonial-styled mansion emanates charm, with details like a bright red door and vines and greenery that cover the entire facade of the house. Realtor.com compares the 4,000-square-foot home to McDonough himself: “The home is much like the actor who owns it, solid, unprepossessing, and refreshingly free.”
