Luxury Portfolio Releases Luxury Real Estate White Paper

Luxury Portfolio International, in conjunction with Harrison Group — a marketing and research firm — recently released a luxury real estate white paper report on how today’s highly affluent U.S. consumer selects luxury real estate associates and brokerages.

The findings of Luxury Portfolio’s study were based on a pool of 1,060 members of the American Express Ambassadors Network and sited results from the Survey of Affluence and Wealth in America (produced annually by American Express Publishing and Harrison Group). The study shows consumers are more resourceful, in need of quality and more self-sufficient, which directly effects how often or much a client relies on a sales representative.

As today’s consumers are more informed, they are able and willing to be honest about what they want and expect. As such, the study displays multiple tables of characteristics and attributes clients specifically look for in agents and brokerages, including characteristics that distinguish top real estate agents from others, characteristics of the company with which they agent is affiliated. Here is a look at a few numbers Unique Homes found to be worth noting:

• 71% of consumers say it is critical for their listings to appear on Google search results.
• 48% of consumers wish to see placements in Unique Homes followed by The Wall Street Journal
and duPont Registry.
• Roughly one-quarter of affluent and wealthy consumers say that it is desirable for their agent’s company to have their own dedicated real estate magazine.

Take a look at all the numbers here and decide for yourself what steps you can take to be a consumer’s top pick.
