Zsa Zsa Gabor’s Bel Air Mansion is Listed at $15 million
Longtime celebrity Zsa Zsa Gabor—notable for her roles in “Moulin Rouge” (1952) and guest appearances on “The Hollywood Squares” in the 60s and 70s and “The New Hollywood Squares” in the 80s—recently listed her Bel Air estate at $15 million.
Gabor’s husband, Frédéric Prinz von Anhalt, announced back in January that the couple had hoped to sell for $28 million.
Gabor, 94, and her husband are looking to downsize to a more modernized home as she has been in and out of the hospital for a hip replacement, leg amputation and pneumonia.
“I want to move her into someplace safe and more comfortable—a luxury high-rise condo,” says von Anhalt, according to a recent article from the Los Angeles Times. “This house is old, you know.”
The 4-bedroom, 5-bath French Regency-style home was built in 1955 and sits on 1 acre overlooking downtown Los Angeles, Santa Catalina Island and the ocean. Main features include an antique French fireplace, grand dining room, a butler’s pantry adjacent to the kitchen and staff quarters. The house also was previously lived in by Howard Hughes and Elvis Presley.
