Llama Expeditions Pairs With Enjoy Spanish
This has nothing to do with luxury real estate, but is a very unique travel opportunity we thought worth mentioning:
Llama Expeditions and Enjoy Spanish have teamed up to create the ultimate in full-immersion Spanish adventures. Their nine-day program brings students to Peru, where they will brush up on their language skills with Carlos Bazan, founder of Enjoy Spanish, a 5-star rated Spanish school in San Francisco.
Bazan, a Peruvian native, will bring groups everywhere from famous historic landmarks to a local kitchen where he’ll teach students to prepare ceviche. Throughout the journey, he’ll also coach participants in the parameters of casual Spanish conversation.
“Carlos is amazing at facilitating conversations. Speaking is often the most intimidating part of learning a second language. But, Carlos creates a safe environment that gets people talking,” said Diane Valenti, founder of Llama Expeditions.
What separates Llama Expeditions’ program from other full-immersion programs is that group members will provide food donation to communities and support to small businesses, in addition to taking in Peruvian culture.
“Bringing food and supporting these underdeveloped communities helps to support and grow businesses in Peru,” says Valenti. “Besides education and the adventure to visit these remote locales, the local business people are extremely grateful for what our groups bring and do for these struggling economies.”
Tour groups are capped at ten people in order to allow for specialized attention and adequate speaking opportunities. The cost per person is $3,500 and includes accommodations, meals and transportation.
