Curves of Water

Inspired by the curves of a woman’s body, a sensuous and stylish bathroom emerges, fit for the most sophisticated design afficionado. Hastings Tile & Bath’s Chelsea H125 faucet collection is the softer side of contemporary: sexy, slender and curvaceous.

The Chelsea H125 conserves water as a lead-free brass “greener” faucet, is WaterSense approved and meets EPA guidelines. Containing a flush stream shaper aerator that tilts, controlling the direction of crystal clear water never has been so flawless with such low-flow beauty.

According to Jocelyn Hutt of DRS & Associates, Bob Gifford, designer of the Chelsea H125, trained as an architect and is “ever the perfectionist — even the single-hole, single-lever faucet was designed with an architect’s eye.” Standing head and shoulders above the rest, price starts at $895.

Self-Assembly Bliss

Hybridize your life with the WL01 Screwtop Table, the first piece from Joe Doucet’s WHYTE LABEL collection. From an environmental standpoint, you will benefit from the table’s small footprint. Custom-made exclusively in Germany, this is flat-pack furniture that requires assembly, but is anything but cheap.

Joe Doucet’s mantra is simple: “everything communicates.” Clean lines, sharp angles and a futuristic appeal make this table the perfect addition to your life. Those who love to build will love the feel of this table under their fingertips.

Made to the buyer’s specifications — as opposed to Joe Doucet’s Studio Line — you choose your desired materials, sizing and finishes personally, with tables ranging from $10,000 to $15,000, elevating the overall image of self-assembly and design.

The Ultimate Bachelor Closet

Esquire recently joined forces with LA Closet Design in Hollywood Hills, Calif., to create the ultimate bachelor closet. In collaboration with Salvatore Ferragamo, the design includes oyster crocodile leather wall coverings, pullout jewelry and sunglass cases, backlit displays and custom finishes.

The Esquire Design House project takes stunning living spaces and transforms them into spectacular masculine quarters (dubbed the “ultimate bachelor pad”), while raising money for charity.

“Incorporating environmentally conscious materials that have visual interest is an underlying principle and encourages the idea of a wardrobe as a living space,” says Lisa Adams, LA Closet designer and CEO.

LA Closet Design offers full-scale wardrobe storage and design consulting and aims to create spaces that are balanced functionally and aesthetically. The closets are individually designed and prices range from $40,000 to $200,000.
