At the latest Inman Real Estate Connect conference, held in San Francisco, Calif., on July 15, eight companies were awarded for innovation, as each company is using technology in a unique way to break new ground in real estate and marketing.
This year’s winners are:

The GoodLife Team’s website features information about properties, neighborhoods, school details and area activities.
Most Innovative New Technology: ZipRealty’s HomeScan
This iPhone application is a multiple listing service that allows users to point the phone’s camera within the neighborhood where they’re standing, which gives them information about nearby homes that are for sale or recently have been sold.
Most Innovative Web Service: Houston Association of Realtors’ Realtor Match
This web service gives users the option of searching for Realtors based on user ratings and consumer surveys.
Most Innovative Blog: Tech Savvy Agent blog
This website offers hardware and software reviews, as well as videos and tech advice.
Most Innovative Media Site: ProPublica Eye on Loan Modifications
ProPublica, an independent news agency, is working on investigating the federal government’s loan-mod programs, and connects homeowners who’ve sought them with journalists.
People’s Choice Award: DocuSign’s ESIGNControl app
The ESIGNControl application allows real estate professionals to send and receive documents from their iPhone, which can be electronically signed by buyers.
Innovator of the Year No. 1: Sherry Chris

Innovator of the Year No. 2: Dale Stinton
