Yahoo! Partners with Zillow for More Real Estate Options

realestate_finalSearch engine giant Yahoo! has recently partnered with Zillow, a homes listing website, to bring targeted ads that brokers and agents purchase from Zillow to Yahoo Real Estate. In addition to the ads now appearing on Yahoo’s real estate section, Zillow will be responsible for managing a set of listings available on both websites, while Yahoo will maintain the look of the ads themselves. Yahoo will also feature a separate section specifically for foreclosures, rentals, and homes that have been recently built.

zillow-logoBoth Yahoo Real Estate and Zillow are currently the second and third most-frequented real estate websites behind Realtor.com, which has remained at number one. The companies decided to combine their efforts to expand their audience for advertisers.

Spencer Rascoff, Zillow’s chief operating officer, believes the partnership will ultimately double the company’s exposure while effectively making advertisers more available to consumers. With about 10 percent overlap between Yahoo and Zillow customers, the merger between the two companies seems to make sense (Unique Homes currently partners with both Yahoo! and Zillow to publicize our clients’ listings).
