Luxury Condo in NYC To Hold City’s Largest Mural

Corinne Ulmann was announced as the lucky winner of a mural design competition sponsored by Alchemy Properties. Work on the mural, which will be displayed at Griffin Court Condominium in Manhattan’s Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood, began last week and is slated to be completed by Sat., July 10.

griffinAfter the year-long search, Ulmann was chosen from a pool of 60 applicants.

“Not only does the mural enhance the courtyard for our residents, but it also adds a wonderful aesthetic for the whole neighborhood to enjoy,” said Kenneth S. Horn, president of Alchemy Properties. “We simply loved Corinne’s design for Griffin Court Condominium and she was a finalist from the get-go.”

Ulmann’s mural reflects the area’s trees and the complex’s interior courtyard. The mural, which features patterns of trees detailed in different light and shadows, is to be painted on two walls of the condo complex, each measuring 1,800 and 4,700 square feet, respectively. The complex itself composes two separate buildings and holds 95 luxury residences, ranging from $735,000 to $3.86 million.

The mural will be New York City’s largest.
