Huf Haus Enters U.S.

Already a household name among the wealthy in Germany, the UK and other countries in Europe, HUF HAUS has just entered the U.S. market. Designed for people who want to shape their own lifestyle and surpass traditional cookie-cutter luxury living, a custom-designed, environmentally advanced HUF HAUS home offers the ultimate experience, incorporating freedom, openness and generosity in its homes.

The proud craftsmanship and 100 years of family ownership truly show in the homes that feature open floor layouts and the use of high-performance glazing, which make the homes unique.

Built entirely inside a factory to ensure protection from elements and perfection, HUF HAUS homes are constructed using a wood/glass post-and-beam architecture with 2-by-6 inch-beams and structured insulated panels, creating walls that are 11 inches thick. Most of the exterior walls in a HUF house are made of 2-inch-thick insulated glass, which is triple glazed with cavities filled with argon gas, providing state-of-the-art insulation.

Additionally, all homes use ecologically friendly technology and are available with geo-thermal heating systems, which, in combination with concrete as heat storage, provide great comfort at the lowest possible energy costs. The heating system operates in conjunction with high-efficiency solar panels for the hot water supply and photovoltaic panels, which generate most of the energy the house requires.

With every HUF home custom-tailored by an architect, the design of the homes is determined by the plot features, climate conditions and most importantly, by clients’ needs. The exclusive homes range from $1.5 million into the tens of millions. HUF HAUS constructs about 150 homes each year.
