View Our Kitchen Finalists and our Ultimate Winner

Here are the winners.
We launch our new yearlong “Ultimate” series in our February/March issue, with the Ultimate Kitchens contest. Realtors were invited to submit luxury listings with truly exceptional, top-of-the-line kitchens. We sorted through a plethora of terrific entries from throughout the U.S. and as far away as Australia, and we narrowed the field to about two-dozen finalists. Our editors were tasked with selecting five winners, but couldn’t agree on just five. So, here we present six Ultimate Kitchens.
We judged on six criteria:
- The design of the kitchen. This included aesthetic appeal, functionality, entertainment ability, and consideration of the materials used.
- Technology/amenities/high-end appliances.
- Views.
- Overall “wow” factor.
- How well the kitchen worked with the rest of the home.
- Miscellaneous considerations, such as “green” features or other unusual aspects that would make the kitchen appealing to high-end consumers.
