New site offers tips, tricks, tax incentives
A new site launched by the National Association of Realtors (NAR) offers consumers a new perspective on home improvement and the politics of real estate, reports Inman News.
Launched in November, HouseLogic.com offers homeowners a wealth of information, ranging from “How-To” articles and step-by-step guides to up-to-date information on tax laws and incentives affecting property owners.
The site is broken down into a series of tabs: Improve, Maintain, Engage, Taxes & incentives, Finances & Insurance and News & Activity. Each tab leads to categories within for easy navigation. For example, a homeowner looking to improve an interior room can either search for the project with the search tool or browse articles in the “Indoor” section of the Improve tab.
The site then breaks down a particular project on how much certain improvements will cost as well as how much value it will add to the home.
With 1.1 million Realtor members, NAR “a political force with which to be reckoned,” writes Bernice Ross, CEO of RealEstateCoach.com. A site such as HouseLogic will only strengthen NAR’s clout with both consumers and realtors, she writes.
