Luxurious Dominican Island Estate to be Auctioned Off
Located in the tropical paradise of Cabarete, Dominican Republic, a 23,000-square-foot architectural masterpiece will be sold at a public auction by New York based Sheldon Good & Company on January 19, 2010.
The Lion’s Gate estate, situated within Sea Horse Ranch in the windsurfing capitol of the world, was originally listed for US $33.5 million and is only 20 minutes by car from the Puerto Plata International Airport.
The mansion is a self-contained recreational sanctuary built as a Mediterranean villa offering serenity and privacy.
Split into two separate wings, this palace offers rooms dedicated to recreation — such as the reception lounge and gallery, the casino, the virtual golf environment, cinema, billiards room and wine tasting room — while the living spaces feature guest suites with opulent baths and private patios. Residents and visitors are met with pure elegance in 12 baths, one mile of handcrafted crown molding, a gourmet kitchen and a six-passenger elevator.
Outside, residents and visitors with enjoy a fresh lake with a waterfall, a sandy beach with cabanas, gazebos and entertainment areas, all of which complement the elegant swimming pool, sundeck, and nearby multi-tiered golf green.
The estate’s grounds were designed to allow personalization of any desired structures on the property.
Lion’s Gate is available for viewing on an appointment-only basis on Dec. 12 and 19, 2009 and Jan. 9, 2010. To bid at the auction all are required to purchase a Bidder’s Information Packet. Bids are due at Sheldon Good’s Chicago office on Jan. 19, 2010.
