Preview To Benefit Cancer Society’s HOPE LODGE NYC

On Wednesday, Dec. 2, Avenue Antiques & Art at the Armory will return to the Park Avenue Armory. On this day, over 400 New Yorkers will have the chance to celebrate its opening and enjoy a private preview and cocktail reception that will benefit The American Cancer Society’s HOPE LODGE Jerome L. Greene Family Center. A free, temporary place to stay will be provided by HOPE LODGE for cancer patients and their families when their best treatment option requires them to be in NYC.

The show will run from Thursday, Dec. 3 to Sunday, Dec. 6. The creative director of the show, Richard Mishaan, is one of New York’s most outstanding interior designers and has provided a signature look in terms of color and overall décor. It is specifically designed for consumers who have gift-giving in mind and regularly pursue the best of all things.

At the show will be a variety of dealers who specialize in antique English and American silver as well as dealers who show modern and vintage jewelry. Other items that will be shown include American, English and Swedish furniture, American, Asian and European porcelain, antique flags, Russian antiquities, rare books, antique rugs and more, all with varying tastes and prices.

According to Mishaan, “A well-decorated home is filled with pieces of all periods and prices. It is the mix that creates excitement.”

The Royal Oak Foundation, with which Avenue Antiques & Art at the Armory has forged a partnership, will also be present, providing lectures during the show. The Royal Oak Foundation has granted “Timeless Design Wards” to American patrons of design, two of whom include Mario Buatta and Bunny Williams.
