Buyer interest in the last six months exceeds all of last year, says Coldwell Banker agent Terri Perlini, who closed more than $17 million in sales so far this year. Homes selling in the $1 million-plus price bracket in one month are not the exception here. The number of homes on the market is down to 400 from almost 1,000 a year ago.
Ranked the best place to live in Florida by Money Magazine in 2008, Weston’s real estate track record this year bests both neighbors, Ft. Lauderdale and Miami. Also, unlike other locales, the rebound already has begun to perk through the market. “The move-up market is moving,” observes Perlini.
