No waiting for the high-end to rebound here. Single-family sales were up 64 percent over 2008 in July; condo sales rose 48 percent.
“We’re definitely seeing that people are not standing on the sidelines any longer. People are jumping back into the market and there are some very good opportunities out there,” says Jill Eber of The Jills of Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate in Miami Beach, counting off the number of million-dollar-plus contracts she has written recently. Still, she cautions, sellers need to be realistic.
What constitutes the best of the best in Miami Beach? It could be a property with an ideal view or platinum addresses on Indian Creek, Sunset or Starr Island.
As for new developments, the Marquis has managed to set itself apart in this market.
