Are Zestimates Appraisals?
Inman News is reporting that the Arizona Board of Appraisal is trying to prevent Zillow.com from providing Zestimates of Arizona properties. The board claims the values are appraisals as defined through the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice. Zillow’s site states in several places that its Zestimates are not appraisals, but some real estate agents and appraisers have criticized the accuracy of Zestimates.
