Affluent LA zip codes continue to soar!

While the rest of the country braces for price correction, several affluent Los Angeles zip codes continue to enjoy unprecedented appreciation in median prices as well sharp increases in price per square foot.According to figures provided by Data Quick Information Systems forThe Los Angeles Times, Beverly Hills 90210 has a median home price of $4.3 million. That’s a 46% increase year over year and $920 per square foot! Encino’s 91436 zip code saw the median price swell to $1.8 million for an 18.4% increase. The price per square foot is now $439.

Hermosa Beach, one of the more affluent seaside communities south of busy LAX saw the price per square foot increase to $756. Manhattan Beach’s 90266 is now $733 a square foot while the median price in Redondo’s 90277 is now $1.2 million or $639 per square foot.

Pacific Palisades (90272) is now $780 per square foot while neighboring Santa Monica (90402) now boasts a median home price of $2.5 million or $1,079 per square foot.

Always pricey Malibu (90265), just north of Santa Monica now claims a median home price of $2.5 million which represents a 29.9% increase year over year and a price per square foot of $1,016!
